How do you spark curiosity and engage students in deeper discussion and investigation in the classroom? Learning is an active, constructive process and student engagement sets the foundation for success. Building strong relationships in the classroom creates a safe environment for students to be willing to take academic risks. Student engagement has been shown to have a critical impact on learning. This session will provide educators with tips and tools to engage students. Classroom management strategies, lesson design ideas and online resources will be shared to support an effective learning environment. Participants will learn how to shift their thinking and begin creating engaging, interactive activities to change the way students learn. Throughout the session, participants will use their device and Google account to practice the skills and tools being showcased. Small changes can have a big impact in learning and student engagement.
