The learning and application of the Illinois Social & Emotional Learning standards is more vital than ever. This presentation will highlight how Galesburg CUSD 205 stepped cautiously into the world of Social Emotional Learning, but quickly realized that this area needed additional attention. The district has come through the pandemic with a much greater appreciation and understanding of the need for SEL. Many successful elements were put in place that other districts can learn about and apply in their own district. CUSD #205 is happy to share its story with others so their students may benefit as ours have.
